Love is a funny thing. We say we want love, we say we need love, we say love is all that matters. And yet how often do we push it away, block it, reject it? How often do we blame, deny, judge, criticise? How often do we manipulate each other in order to receive love?
There are two members of a family I know who haven't spoken to each other for several years. He says her behaviour is unacceptable. She says he is selfish. They have decided it is easier to pretend the other doesn't exist. They harbour hurt and guilt and grief in their hearts because they can't show (or refuse to show) the love they each have for the other. And part of that is because the love they seek from each other is conditional. If he behaves in a certain way or says certain things, then she'll love him, and vice versa. If he says he's sorry, she may decide to forgive him. If she apologises, he'll consider speaking to her again. But because each believes they are in the right, neither of them is prepared to make the first move (it reminds me of that saying, 'Would you rather be right or happy....').
Both of these people are 'loving', kind and caring. Yet because of hurt, because of fear, because they are afraid to open up to each other about how they are truly feeling, they have decided to give up on love, at least where it concerns the other. They have decided to judge each other and clearly the judgement has been passed: Guilty. The punishment they have meted out to each other is to ignore the other's existence.
Whether we humans are capable of real, true unconditional love, I don't know for sure. We mostly hang a few conditions on our love. But we can certainly strive for this, we can make the decision to forgive, and to love, again and again. Or we can stay in fear and judgement. Truly, it's up to us.

Operation Sunshine Family Therapy Programmes

Operation Sunshine Family Therapy Programmes benefit children and young adults with special needs, their parents and carers. The Charity is set up to bring joy and healing into the lives of disadvantaged families in the UK and internationally.
From long-term research by Dr. Horace Dobbs, BSc. PhD, it has been found that an encounter with a wild dolphin can have a positive and powerful effect on children who are neurologically and physically impaired. In 1988 a study by Dr David Nathanson showed that children with brain damage, Down’s Syndrome, cerebral palsy and other mental and physical disabilities increased their learning abilities by 500% after interaction with dolphins.
We have run two previous Operation Sunshine Programmes in 2005 and 2006. The feedback from those who took part convinced us that this was a unique project able to make dreams come true and have long-term benefits for children with special needs. It was clear “something magical” happens between children and dolphins. Parents reported significant improvements in their children’s psychological and physical well-being such as improved confidence and self-esteem and improved co-ordination and communication.
We are now fundraising to run a programme in 2008 for special needs families from the UK and Canada. The children and young people we help have various physical and mental disadvantages, including brain trauma, cerebral palsy, autism, learning difficulties, difficulties with communication and social understanding, severe emotional and behavioural problems.
We have found that caring for such children and young people with special needs is very demanding and stressful on the whole family and often the siblings have to some second place. Operation Sunshine helps the whole family and their main carers by taking them to a safe and caring environment, giving them respite, participating in activities that would not normally be possible and fulfilling a dream of swimming with dolphins. They also receive alternative therapies including massage, yoga, watsu and art and craft therapies where appropriate.

In this one-day workshop we will bring together two very powerful systems – Colour and Chi Kung - and tune into the vital and re-vitalising spring energies to focus on positive and practical ways to enhance your well-being.
Each season is associated with a particular element and in the springtime the element we connect with is Wood. You will learn how pertinent this time of year is to renew, restore and refresh ourselves, and to clear out old stuck energies in our physical and energy bodies, planting new seeds for the year to come. We will use spiraling and circular movements to enliven the muscles and tendons, waking them up from the winter’s stillness. These movements will encourage the liver to detoxify efficiently, promoting healthy cellular renewal on all levels.
We will focus on the energies of green and olive green, promoting a sense of space, freedom, renewal and hope.
This is a practical, experiential workshop to connect with your body, open your heart and free your spirit. You will have ‘hands-on’ experiences with colour, movement, meditation, healing and energy.

Metatronic Healing™ Workshop
Level One, Part One (Gold)

This new healing gift from Metatron removes ancient traumas, destructive emotions, limiting beliefs, from deep inside the cellular memory – which means from right inside the body. It digs issues out by the roots: if that sounds rough, it’s not. The Attunements adjust the receptor stations in the body at key points, to receive the Metatronic energy. The Transmissions download the individual Metatronic rays into the heart and the crown of the head. Group clearances and demonstrations of client work ensure a profound level of release and recharging for everyone present.
Part One also forms the first part of the training for those who wish to continue to Part Two, which is open to those already engaged in therapeutic energy work of some kind.

The energy adjustments are deeply transformative to the person receiving them, and remain in place for all subsequent work that the student may do with clients. Level One, Part Two (Gold)

For those wishing to train as practitioners of Metatronic Healing™, the next step after receiving the attunements is to undertake practical training. I will be taking this session, offering you first-hand experience of working with the Metatronic energies. This workshop is open to those who are currently engaged in healing or other therapeutic energy work.
Level One Part Two (Practical): We look in greater detail at the individual healing qualities in each of these divine strands and learn to use them. Students work in small groups and pairs. All demonstrations and practical applications help in removing trauma, limiting beliefs and other deep blocks, and prepare students to use this method within their own practice. A Level One Practitioner Certificate is awarded on completion of Part Two.
