Happy 2008! How is the new year shaping up for you? As many of you already know, this is a '1' year, which makes it powerfully connected with new beginnings and new opportunities. I am feeling this increasingly as the year gets underway.
There is a freshness and a brightness to this year's energy which simply wasn't there in 2007 with it's '9' energy of endings and completion. It feels as if this is the year to really get on and be all that we can be. No more hanging on to old issues, unhelpful beliefs and behaviours.

Time, perhaps, to get out of our own way and allow things to flow through us and from us rather than 'trying' or pushing to make things happen. How would it be to let go of the struggle this year? How would it be to surrender to what you know to be true for you? There's an intensity and a clarity to this '1' energy that hones and sharpens and sheds light on old situations. A feeling that we somehow won't get away with some of the old ways of being and doing. At the same time the feeling is that we can no longer make anything happen, that the only way to flow is to soften into change or growth or healing...

The zero point that our souls are supporting us in arriving at means no extending, no effort, no making things happen, no intentional giving, and so forth. It means standing still in our center and allowing the flow to move through us and extend onto others.

With all of this in mind, we have been cooking up lots of wonderful things to offer you this year, starting with a day's retreat on our Colour and Chi Kung workshop on 26 January, near Salisbury.
This is an opportunity to relax, refresh, restore and release using colour, movement, stillness, breath work and healing energies. The cost is £50 per person and there are very few places left so book now if you'd like to take advantage of a day of resourcing and renewal over this darkest and coldest time of the year. Free Rice

Several people have pointed me in the direction of this website, which offers free rice to people around the world who do not have enough food, perhaps because of war, or flood or famine. To play, your vocabulary is tested online and for each answer you get right, 20 grains of rice are donated to The World Food Programme. That may not sound like very much but when I checked the site I saw that 316,923,440 grains were donated in one day alone! And an added side-benefit is that you get to develop your word-power...

The Illegal Ivory Trade

According to the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), illegal wildlife products such as ivory products are distributed online at tremendous speeds that go completely unchecked. This is now a trade so large it is estimated to be second only to illegal trafficking in drugs and weapons.

Ivory poachers illegally kill 4,000 elephants in Africa each year; an average of eleven elephants per day. Every time a new elephant is killed, the risk of extinction increases, raising the market value of ivory and the likelihood of further poaching. Wildlife rangers are losing their lives protecting elephants from gangs of heavily armed poachers that operate freely across national African borders, and the rangers are greatly under-staffed and under-equipped.

IFAW is working with local leaders from Africa to China to rebuild wildlife parks and create new sanctuaries, rescue individual elephants, and train and equip rangers to combat poaching.

Winter Resourcing with Colour and Chi Kung

Restore, rebalance and conserve your natural energy this wintertime...

In this one-day workshop we will tune into the seasonal energies to focus on positive and practical ways to enhance your well-being. The winter is time to use the stores wisely gathered from the autumn time, to conserve what you have and to keep yourself well despite the cold and dark. It is a time to begin tentatively looking ahead towards the unfolding New Year. This is the time to plunge the depths of your imagination and intuition, flushing out the winter ‘blues’ and yet using this very colour to nourish you at a deep fundamental level.

Winter connects with the element of Water, which is associated with the kidneys and bladder, bones and brain. This very fundamental element is essential for all life on Earth and is used to represent the transformational qualities within us all. We will work with imagery, exercises and breath to calm the mind and give space for this work, promoting a natural flow of chi to assist the body in clearing old blockages and toxins which could impede harmonious health.

In the Colourworks system the Water element is a means for connecting with the emotions and being in one’s flow. We will work with the Water essence to tap into our innate deep resources, to support and encourage us to step through fears and to express ourselves clearly. Water teaches us to flow in the river of life and to clear and cleanse ourselves of unnecessary and limiting beliefs and behaviours. Water helps deepen our connection with our authentic inspirational selves.

Colour 1 Workshop

Earth Connections 2008

"We are incredibly excited about this forthcoming Earth Connections workshop. It is no co-incidence that Eloha was born in South Africa and Pat feels so totally at home there. This is a new Earth Connections, the first to happen since the Earth has changed gears, and is revving up for faster, more deeply felt shifts. We have been called to Africa to take all that we have learned and experienced to a new level of awareness, for ourselves and for the Earth.

We have just discovered that Soutpansberg Mountain range is on a very ancient energy line which runs through Africa, Europe and into Finland. The early peoples mapped the sky from this line and on this line are many power sites – the Great Ruins of Zimbabwe; The Giza Pyramid; Mount Olympus and more. At this time in our journey to a higher awareness, we are being called to this energy line again, to work at the sacred sites of this wonderful and powerful land.

This workshop coincides with a powerful energy shift happening in March; the effects are already being felt as it builds in power. These shifts affect the whole planet and allow us to expand our consciousness step by step or shift by shift! We shall be working with the energy of this current shift to support us in grounding our divinity into our bodies and our whole being.
